15th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION (1991 - 2006)  Antanimalandy Lutheran Hospital - Mahajanga is celebrating the completion of fifteen years of service to the community, in this Synod of Boeny Mahajanga. This celebration will take place over the dates of 24-30 September 2007. The theme for this jubilee will be “Take care of him,” from the story of the Good Samaritan in Luke 10:35. The foundation of this hospital was through the efforts and endeavors of the Malagasy Lutheran Church Boeny Synod - Mahajanga and Dr. Quanbeck, former SALFA Coordinator. This hospital of Antanimalandy Lutheran has held a big responsibility in health development in the Mahajanga region. Proof of this can be seen from the many patients who arrive from communities and villages located a great distance away such as Mandritsara, Antsohihy, Maintirano, Mampikony, etc. Dr. ANDRIANANDRAINA Gustave Victorien became medical director at this hospital beginning in July 1999. One of the felt needs of the executive board is the renovation of Antanimalandy Hospital including a new operating room unit.
