OBJECTIVE :
The CNPSO has one objective: to improve the oral health and of the Malagasy population.
This is completely within a strict cooperation with the national policy of the Ministry of Health an Family Planning,
concerning Dental-Oral Health.
STRATEGIES :
- Creation of dental centers and clinics in SALFA hospitals and dispensaries throughout the entire island. At the present time, our national coverage stands at eleven dental centers, situated with eight regional synods of the MLC and eight territories in Madagascar.
- Introducion of an oral-dental prevention project in some of the SALFA dental centers. This project assures the promotion of dental-oral hygiene education and primary dental care for school children from 6 to 12 years of age.
PERSPECTIVES :
- Extension and standardization of each of the eleven SALFA dental centers currently in exixtence in order to surmount the unrestricted word-wide cometition of this third millennium..
- Establishment of thee new dental structures in thee citiies with Lutheran dispensaries or hospitals, by the year 2012.
- Integration of Promotion and Prevention Activities in Dental-Oral Health within each of the SALFA dental centers through the Prevention Project, within three years.
