All make the situation worse.
This project was created in October 2005 because of the increase
in number of the malnourished children and vulnerable population
in different areas of the Island, affected by the malnutrition, food insecurity,
as annual phenomenon.
BROAD OBJECTIVE :
To decrease the long-termstruggle against malnutrition,
food insecurity and their consequences due to different factors
(climate, drought, rain, ….) in the affected zone.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES :
- To reduce by 80-85% the percentage of the households affected by food insecurity in the intervention areas ;
- To reduce by 80-85% the percentage of malnourished people in the intervention areas ;
- To reduce by 50% the mortality rate due to malnutrition in the intervention areas.

- Closed collaboration at all levels.
ACTIVITIES :
- Distribution of food during the famine periods of famine to the most vulnerable
- Implementation of CRENI and CRENA as facilities to take responsibility for the severely, mild malnourished and malnourished children
- Nutritional Rehabilitation program : Follow up / growth monitoring of malnourished children….
- Information, Education, and Communicationof the mothers by adopting positive feeding practices
