The climate of this region is very hot and rainy in summer (September to May). Sometimes during this season, it passes there 2 or 3 tropical cyclones. Between June at August, heat is a little more lenient, though it remains rather hot.
It is also the area of vanilla, and the scents of this plant are felt in the city. There are there some corners which are interesting to be visited according to their beauty

In fact, this center belongs to the government but the management was entrusted to SALFA since 1995.
